Happenings:

2015 was great! I found myself involved in a number of interesting projects. I played in a planetarium with the DeKalb Choral Guild. I also appeared on three tracks of Elise Witt’s album We’re All BORN SINGING, playing glasses, musical saw, and mbira. And it was a full plate for k-12, library, private events and other venues.

Then to close the year, I appeared in two commercials. The first in Boston, for Aloft Hotels and their WXYZ lounge, produced by Sleek Machine, enjoy:

The second shoot was in Paso Robles, CA, at Justin Winery. They are American Winery of the Year, so I was brought in to play a beautiful “fake” glass harp to celebrate… perfectly arranged by the producer and team, and ‘tuned with wine.’ I have great footage to share in time but for now, here are some photos of the wine tunnel, the shoot, and some captures from the commercial:

Enjoy a nice review of our most recent glass music festival held in Williamsbug, VA, on the blog. Glass Music International sponsors a conference and showcase of a wide variety of glass musicians and instruments every few years. It is always an inspiring time! Big thanks to Dean Shostak for hosting and organizing such an energizing event. Here is a link to the GMI site.

Here’s a Water-tuned cooking pot guitar.
